During the warranty period, Lanqing provides free maintenance services for the equipment, including replacing faulty components such as damaged electrodes, oscillating tubes, capacitors, etc.
If the warranty period has expired, our after-sales personnel can also provide a repair plan. Door to door repair services will incur additional fees such as travel expenses based on the actual situation. At the same time, during the after-sales maintenance process, you can ask the maintenance personnel for measures to prevent the recurrence of sparking, such as the key points of daily maintenance, the appropriate range of welding parameters, etc. This can help extend the service life of the equipment and reduce the recurrence of faults.
Here are some ways to deal with ignition in high-frequency welding machines:
1、 Check the mold and electrodes
1. Clean the mold
Molds may be contaminated with dust, oil, and other impurities during use, which can affect the uniformity of current conduction and cause local electric field strength to be too high, leading to ignition.
Regularly use a clean soft cloth dipped in an appropriate amount of alcohol or other cleaning agents, gently wipe the surface of the mold to remove dirt, and wait for the alcohol to completely evaporate before using the welding machine.
2. Check electrode wear
After prolonged use, the electrode will experience wear and tear, and the contact surface of the worn electrode will be uneven, causing current to concentrate on certain protrusions or sharp areas, leading to ignition.
Carefully observe the contact surface of the electrode. If obvious signs of wear, potholes, or deformation are found, a new electrode should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure good contact and even distribution of current.
2、 View high-frequency oscillation section
1. State of oscillating tube
The oscillating tube is a key component of the high-frequency oscillation part of the high-frequency welding machine. If the oscillating tube ages, is damaged, or experiences a decrease in performance, it may lead to unstable high-frequency oscillation, which in turn can cause ignition.
Professional testing instruments can be used to detect various parameters of the oscillating tube, such as filament voltage, anode voltage, etc., to see if they are within the normal range. If abnormal parameters are found, the oscillating tube should be replaced in a timely manner, and the installation of the new oscillating tube should be ensured to be correct and firmly connected to the circuit.
2. Oscillatory capacitors and inductors
The oscillating capacitor and inductor form a high-frequency oscillation circuit. If the capacitor leaks, breaks down, or the inductor experiences short circuits, open circuits, or other faults, it will disrupt the normal state of high-frequency oscillation and increase the possibility of ignition.
Conduct a visual inspection of the capacitor to see if there are any bulges, leaks, or other issues. If there are any, replace it. For inductors, a multimeter can be used to check if their resistance value is normal. If there is an abnormality, the circuit connection should be checked and the inductor components should be repaired or replaced.
3、 Check the insulation condition
1. Internal insulation of the machine
The insulation layer of components such as wires and circuit boards inside the high-frequency welding machine may be damaged due to prolonged heating, moisture, aging, and other reasons. Once the insulation layer is damaged, it may cause leakage and ignition between components with different potentials.
Regularly open the machine casing (with power off and ensuring safety), carefully inspect the insulation of the wires for any damage or cracks, and check for obvious signs of burning or leakage on the components on the circuit board. If there is an insulation problem, the damaged wires should be replaced or the circuit board repaired in a timely manner. Insulation tape can be used to wrap the slightly damaged wires.
2. Workpiece and surrounding insulation
During the welding process, insulation of the workpiece itself and the surrounding environment such as the workbench where the workpiece is placed is also important. If there are conductive impurities on the surface of the workpiece or if the insulation pad of the workbench is damaged, it may cause current leakage to areas that should not be conductive and ignite.
Before welding, ensure that the surface of the workpiece is clean and free of conductive substances such as metal shavings and water stains. At the same time, check whether the insulation pad of the workbench is intact. If it is damaged, it should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure good insulation between the workpiece and the outside world.
4、 Adjust welding parameters
1. Power setting
If the power setting of the welding machine is too high, exceeding the range that the workpiece can withstand or the degree that the mold can adapt to, it is easy to cause ignition.
Based on the actual conditions such as the material, thickness, and mold specifications of the workpiece, the power setting of the welding machine should be reasonably reduced, and a step-by-step experimental method should be adopted to find the optimal power value that can meet the welding requirements and avoid sparking.
2. Welding time
Excessive welding time may also lead to excessive heat accumulation, causing local temperatures to become too high and leading to sparking.
Appropriately shorten the welding time, and through experimentation, determine the appropriate welding time parameters while ensuring welding quality, in order to reduce the risk of ignition caused by prolonged heating.
5、 Check the cooling system
1. Cooling water pipeline
The high-frequency welding machine generates a large amount of heat during operation, which needs to be dissipated through a cooling system to ensure the normal operation of the machine. If the cooling water pipeline is blocked, leaking, or the water flow is not smooth, it will cause the machine temperature to rise, affecting the performance of various components and increasing the possibility of ignition.
Regularly inspect the cooling water pipeline to see if there are any bends or blockages (such as impurities depositing in the water), and ensure that the water pipe connection is firm and there is no leakage. If the pipeline is found to be blocked, high-pressure water guns or specialized pipeline cleaning tools can be used to clear it; If there is water leakage, it is necessary to replace damaged water pipes or seals in a timely manner.
2. Cooling fan
The cooling fan is responsible for dissipating heat from some internal components of the machine. If the fan does not rotate or rotates too slowly, it can also cause poor heat dissipation of the machine.
Before starting up, check whether the cooling fan can rotate normally and listen for its sound. If a fault is found in the fan, replace the fan motor or repair the power supply circuit of the fan in a timely manner to ensure good heat dissipation.
Through the comprehensive inspection and corresponding measures mentioned above, the problem of high-frequency welding machine ignition can generally be effectively solved, ensuring the normal operation of the welding machine and the smooth progress of welding work. Suggest cutting off the power supply in a timely manner and contacting our after-sales department for handling.
